8. The Changeling (1980) - Elegant and eerie, Canada-lensed The Changeling remains one of the classiest haunted house movies ever shot. Following the tragic death of his wife and son, a composer secludes himself in a sprawling mansion to write when he is haunted by the specter of a little boy. This film is the definition of creepy. If the ball bouncing down the stairs doesn't scare you, you have no soul.

A member of The Captured Bird online community recently asked what the difference was between a producer and an executive producer. Now, there is good reason for confusion because the term executive producer means different things to different productions. Sometimes famous people put their names on projects to help new filmmakers out and other times they become a lot more involved.
